HwTesting 1

Almost all the standards regarding functional safety of any system including electronic parts (i.e. IEC 61508, IEC 61511, IEC 60730, EN 50129, EN 62061, etc.), with control functions and safety functions, contain requirements for the hardware tests.
Usually these standards identify two distinct types of tests:
  • validation tests that are part of a specific process, aimed at verifying that all the functional, performance and safety requirements for the hardware are properly implemented;
  • diagnostic tests, or self-diagnostics tesst, aimed at identifying, during normal operation, all faults, especially hazardous ones.

HINTSW - T & T Systems is able to design and define both types of tests in accordance with the requirements of the main international standards for functional safety of electronic systems, and according to the best engineering practices for such systems. Moreover HINTSW - T & T Systems can perform the hardware validation process by developing, whether necessary, software applications dedicated to the execution of tests and / or to automate the testing process and the reporting production.
